More New things to get you INSPIRED!!

I have to confess I have a little tiny house addiction going on. The middle house is about 8cm high so they are really small. After a bit of work over the past few days, I am excited to show you something I was working on last night till 1.30am. Literally "hot off the press" is the latest range of 6 x 6 papers. Having just released the Vintage Wallpaper 6 x 6 papers at SIA last week in Sydney, I was a bit inspired to do another range. This one is called French Wallpaper. I wanted to design some papers in a teal blue, cream and chocolate tones, so here is the result below. With some "french text" some Victorian designs and some wallpaper I wanted to have something different to "cover" the tiny houses... and other things as well! That doesn't mean if I need a new paper I just can go out and get them printed, I need to sell the first two ranges first! LOL!Today I was fortunate enough to be in the right place a the right time. I can say that this job, the French Wallpaper was printed today here in Perth on a brand new $2.5 million dollar, 8 colour press and my job was the first to be printed on it. So I have the very first piece of paper that went through this amazing machine. If you know a bit about printing, these new machines print CTP, which means computer to plate, so the old "negatives" are done away with and now everything is done on the press. Apparently they print up to 15,000 sheets per hour! Well I took a photo to capture the moment. (my paper was going through the machine at the time) Here are the orginal 6 x 6 papers, Vintage Wallpaper printed a couple of weeks ago.
Now on to other things... more of the latest bits and pieces, transparencies, 4 different types! Great to cut up, use as little pieces for windows. . . . . or put into some frames....
Available in stores soon, as these arrived at my place today. You can cut out some of the indvidual shapes to overlay on ATC's or on a layout etc. I think they will make great pages in a small journal.
This pic of the 3D houses taken at the booth at SIA by the lovely Ngaire This photo makes them look really cute all ganged up together. They do look really nice with a bit of German Scrap to finish them off which I buy from Scraptivate here in Perth. The 3d houses come in 2 different size kits, House Kit #1 has five really tiny houses and House Kit#2 has 4 larger houses (will try to get a pic of it up soon), both kits include full instructions. All you do is cover with paper, glue together and embellish with german scrap, chipboard pieces, tiny braid or buttons. Also you can buy some tiny "village text" to go with the small houses. Some of the sayings include, "My little house", "petite maison", "the village" etc...Well better get off to bed now, nite!

Back home from Sydney

I arrived home to Perth yesterday from Sydney, really tired and exhausted tho. At least everything is unpacked, washed and put away. I hate it when I don't do it straight away and it's there for days!

Here's some highlights of our trip, the booth, the dinner at SIA, our apartment where we stayed. Over all we had such a great time, meeting new and old friends...I want to thank, Jenny Crossley for her wonderful work, tiny birdhouses, wire art tree (and all the trimmings!) her help on the booth doing make and takes and of course the humungous task of setting up and breaking down. And Audrey Underwood for all the wonderful samples that she made, and also her wonderful art direction setting up the booth and co-ordinating all the pieces. Also the help with the make and takes and breaking down at the end of the show. Thanks also go to Natalie Wolfe for her wonderful samples, sponsoring the German Scrap. Helmar for sponsoring the glue for the classes and make and takes. Ruth Sprague, Kim Jones and her girls for sending us some wonderful samples to take. Tania Davey for her wonderful samples and Maxine Hazebroek for the most amazing samples which sold so many owls!!!!! Also thanks to my daughter Lauren for her samples. Many thanks go to Sally for driving us around Sydney and Mindy for organizing the accommodation, and driving us around and helping us with our suit cases!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! It was so nice to meet Ngaire, Tamar and Mindy, you ladies made out trip so worthwhile and so much fun. What characters you all are!!!
Jenny Crossley and Audrey Underwood at the SIA dinner. There were over 200 people that attended!
In the evening Jen Audrey and I went back to a lovely and really yummy place call "Thai Express", just off George St in the city.. Try the fish cakes there if you get a chance they were so delicious.
Audrey & I left Sydney at midday after a nice stay in the Chinatown area which we had a quick visit to paddys markets. Earlier in the day we spent time with friends buying jewelery findings, beads and charms - that was a lot of fun....
Yummy blue cup cakes that we enjoyed, the icing was cuttlebugged! AMAZING!!
The booth on the first day, which took quite a few hours to set up I might add!
WA girls.....at the dinner.
Looking down the hall on one of the aisles, looks a treat! The venue was at homebush Olympic Park, Sports Centre.

Girls from WA stores at the SIA dinner, the food was really nice!!

The BIG SMOKE ! !

Well here we all are in the big smoke, in Sydney. Its our play day!!! I'm with Audrey and Jen Croz, and we are off to explore the city and get junk and stuff. The SIA was a huge success and we loved it all. Everyone was so complementry of all the samples, thanks to a huge list of girls who contributed. Apparently we were DIFFERENT and we had lots of ladies coming to do the make and takes with Jen and Audrey... I will blog later and give ya the gos... and some photos when I can upload them somewhere.....

Ahh Cheepboard!!! LOL!

Well another sneek preview. This should keep the chipboard girls happy for a while. Instead of photographing all the cut shapes it was easier to create a facsimile of the newest items. Sometimes if the lighting isn't right you have to clean up the images in Photoshop and that is hard work, so here's my take on my catalogue images for some of the new items, digitally so to speak.
I'm off to bed now with most of my case packed for Monday, have a few loose ends to tie up, like the make and takes... pack more samples. It feels like my work is neverending... really!
My daughter Lauren gave me a really sweet sample that she made with photos of her and her sister on their horses at the beach. Lauren is turning out to be a fabulous scrapbooker (she comes to mums place for supplies!)
Hopefully I will get some time to blog before I go, looking forward to gettin together with Jenny Crossley and Audrey! and bummer Max is not coming with us! Check out her blog she made a really sweet tag and frame for me to take.
Eeeekkk 11.30pm, gotta get to bed, night!

It's late to blog!

Hi all and thanks for your kind comments for the previous blog. Today I was finalising the kits for classes at SIA. Can't believe how long it takes to pack kits! Getting excited about the show organising last minute details. I booked a mystery hotel appartment for the last night in Sydney and we got some place in George St. Looks lovely and there will be 4 of us together, Audrey, Max, Jen and moi! I bet we will be too tired to go out.... Anyway I did go to Scrapbook Central this afternoon as Ruth called me and said the girls, some of the lovely staff members and herself had made me some gorgeous samples for the booth at SIA. Well they are more than gorgeous, what can I say the work in them is stunning and holy cow the ideas. Thanks so much for your efforts girls, and Ruth as well. The samples will be returned after the show so I might suggest you pop into Scrapbook Central in Joondalup and take a look at them.
Oh I nearly forgot, thanks Jenny B for your lovely tag journal, it's very cool and taking the time to drop it off at my place and also you kind help and advice on a project.
I promised you another sneek peek, well here (above) are the 6 x 6 papers...Vintage Wallpaper, thanks for looking and stay tuned for more.
PS BTW sorry for blogging so late, I am still trying to catch up to make sure everything is right for the show. So I am off to bed been at it since 6.30am. And the pic below, a new product, "Tag Journal" and "Owlet!" night zzzzzzzzzz!!!

{Sneak Preview}

As promised some new Collections "sneak's". The "Lauren" journal incorporates some of the new Antique Wallpaper 6 x 6 papers, some of the new chipboard Mini Blooms........
New on the horizon will be blank calendars for you to fill out yourself to make a complete calendar, or use them as I did in this journal on a page. It will come in white, manilla and kraft, which is my favorite. The journal itself is a blank 6 x 6 chipboard journal with "bracket frames" The Bracket Journal will retail for under $7 and will include hard covers and 5 inside pages. It will complement the new papers that I am really excited to bring to you, being my first 6 x 6 papers, some more of them shown here. They are really nice to cut up and collage. Great for ATC's as well. There are 6 designs in the pack.....
There is a number of chipboard products to be released..... we are talking at least FIFTEEN OF THOSE! It's so exciting to show you part of the biggest release of Collections products so far, to a total of 26 new items! Above is the Little Wren, and Branches chipboard.........The Bracket Shapes also make a cool little book/journal and they are so quick and easy to cover.....
Stay tuned for more sneaks over the next few days, thanks for looking....Julie
