Just because I needed it and wanted it, I had to make it of course. You know when I saw some really nice candles in a little crate the other day when I was at the Dusk outlet in Perth shopping, it was only the crate they were in that I wanted. Thinking it would be nice to have a few little mini crates to display some small items in. Well you know the saying "necessity is the mother of all invention". Join several strips of long chipboard together with glue and cut out of a sheet 2 equal sides, join 3 strips to one side and then the other to create the base. Then when it's all dry enough add the side strips, in this case I made it x 2. Embellish with paper and ink with frayed burlap (it's a boxy kinda colour!) Above is the little crate with spools in it, and below with them on!
A little bit of fun yesterday arvo when it was all a bit rainy and dreary outside.

Too cute! You're such a creative gal Julie.
I'd love to see what you'd come up with if one day you decided you needed a rocket LOL!
OMG Julie, is there NOTHING you can't make out of chipboard....? I am still marvelling at the Halloween House ;-)

Thanks girls! I'ts all good fun isn't it? Yes chipboard/boxboard is a wonderful medium. Greta the Halloween house is living at Scrapbook Central at the moment, I've got nowhere in this shack for it. New house has just been made water tight, lower floor roof went on today! YAY 6 months then moving!!
