It's been a bit chilly here in Perth the past week. Thank goodness the sun came out today! I know it's winter but I love to get outside and poke around in the garden. When it's wet it's a good time to get out the card making supplies and get some made for "a rainy day". Saturday a bunch of gals are popping over for a day of card making and generally get together for laughs and some yummy food. So I thought I had better get a few ideas going. Today my orders for Collections went out with a little card sample and this one went off to Queensland, to Daisy Chain Scrapbooking (click on it to see it larger). Made with just a few items: Notions Transparency, Artist's Collection 8 x 8 paper, and I just used the strip on the cover sheet - designed in mind for cutting a strip just for cards. Some lovely tea stained seam binding from Craft Queen, and I absolutely love using it and it's on just about everything I have been making lately, such a versatile ribbon. Simply put together with some staples and finished with an elegant label that has some muslin tea stained from the Natural Muslin pack inked and layered up with one of the words from the Melange Word Sheet. Finally added a strip of the tissue paper to finish it off. This card took less than 10 minutes - why don't you get out a few things tonight and make a few cards, you'll be glad you did. Thanks for looking!
